I don't have a fondest father's day memory per se, but it's nice to know of specific days you can count on to see family. You hardly get that reliability with things these days.
ReplyDeleteMy dad was not in the picture so my Granddaddy was my dad. His birthday was June 18, which was always within a few days of Fathers Day, and it was a huge celebration. But he always found that extra little bit of time to spend with me. Every one was my fave, and I was he was still here.

ReplyDeleteWhen I was much younger, I took my dad to the zoo for Father's Day. They still tease me about it, because I suppose it was really a trip for me :)

ReplyDeletei don't really have a special specific father's day memory, but we have hung out a lot over the years! maybe not on fathers day, but i always have fond memories of going fishing, picking berries, and vacationing!
