Teton Sports Backpack Bookbag - #HGG Review & Giveaway - Ends 12/15 US

My fifth child started college this year, and he needed a new backpack.  He looked and looked for one that would give him comfort for carrying large heavy loads--math books are always heavy!  Not happy with what he was seeing in the stores, he just grabbed one of his sister's old bags that was about to fall apart.  Well, feeling sorry for the poor rascal, I went on the hunt trying to find the perfect bag for him.

The course of my search finally took me to Teton Sports.  Among all the wonderful camping equipment was a bookbag backpack.  The Teton Sports Bookbag Backpack caught my interest immediately.  My son was looking for a backpack that can handle a lot of weight from school books.  Why not a bookbag backpack made by the people who make world class backpacking equipment?

When the bag arrived, my son was enthralled (not a word that he would use, but that was the look in his eye).  He unzipped and zipped all the compartments--zippers all worked great.  He put in all of his heavy books into main compartment that has a foam back panel to protect the back, adjusted the shoulder straps, and felt the elastic suspension system built that's built into them.  He looked at me, smiled, and said, "This bag is perfect!"

The Teton Sports Bookbag Backpack is the perfect bag.  It's a good size bag that can really hold the books.  I experimented with it, and found that it can easily hold four hardbound college textbooks--seven inches of books altogether.  In the Mid-Chamber, there is room for smaller books, notebooks, and folders (my son likes to keep his water bottle in this section).

There are two front sections.  A smaller front pocket that is perfect for stashing a wallet, kleenex, transit pass, or anything that you need to get to in a hurry.  On the outside of this is a swivel utility clip--perfect for clipping those small bottles of hand sanitizer to.  Now, saving the best for last, is the multi-function utility section.  It has several pockets for pens and pencils, velcro pocket, mesh zipped pocket, and several more.  You can put in a iPod/CD/MP3 player in here because it has an audio outport built in.  My son especially likes the removable clip key tether to hold his locker key.

The construction of this bag is first rate.  It is made with 600D Ripstop fabric that is lined to be water resistant.  There are small storm collars across the zippers of the two main compartments to help keep your books dry.  Around the multi-function compartment is a ribbing of reflective material.  I like that since my son has a night class that gets out late.

The straps have wide padded shoulders that won't rub your neck even when fully loaded.  Compression elastic is built in to help with heavy loads.  On one strap is a mobile phone pocket--very handy.  On the other strap is a daisy chain which is a series of loops that items can be lashed onto them.  My son lashes on his gym bag with a carabiner onto one of these.  On top of it all, there is a sturdy carry handle on the bag with rubber grip that will protect the shoulder straps when you pick up the bag.

For a bookbag backpack of this quality one could expect to pay a high price for.  Not with the Teton Sports Bookbag Backpack!   I found it on Amazon.com where you can purchase this durable backpack for only $31.86 with Free Super Saver Shipping!  It comes in four great colors: red, pink, blue, and black.  You can stay connected with Teton Sport through their Website, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

Great Gift Idea!

The Teton Sports Bookbag Backpack would make a great gift for the student in your life.  It would also be a great gift for someone who takes day hikes, or for someone who needs a good bag to go to the gym with.   It would work great for an overnight bag, too!  There are plenty of people who would love this for a holiday gift!  Perhaps even yourself!

My many thanks to Teton Sports for sending me a bag to review for you, but that's not all.  Teton Sports has also agreed to give a bag away to one of my lucky readers!  Thank you Teton Sports for your generosity!  This giveaway is open to US residents and will end on December 15, 2012. The first two mandatory entries must be completed in order to be considered entered.
