REVIEW: Cutey: The Beautiful Charm Collection & Giveaway

I am a jewelry lover, and just recently I was given the opportunity to review three of the most enduring bracelets.  They are from Cutey, a company located in the UK.
In our little corner of the world we’re passionate about making very special things and making sure they reach their true owners. Right now we’re busy taking care of our collection of prêt a porter charm bracelets, each one born from a single idea. If you’re anything like us, you have special colours which can inspire or relax you, or a quirky attachment to certain shapes or forms. We’re sure you’ll find a bauble here which will make your heart sing, one that your fingers will long to twiddle with and which will start more than a few conversations.-From Cutey's website
I love their eccentric little bracelets, each and every one of them.  Here are the three that I was lucky enough to review.

Oneiroi
Oneiroi Charm Bracelet
A star, a heart and petals, Oneiroi holds your imagination and lets you reflect on your dreams. Calming greens and pinks provide a restful focus and the central bead is wonderful to roll and spin. Think gently, dream big.

I just love the large glass beads on Oneiroi , but that little heart charm just puts my heart aflutter.

Momus
Momus Charm Bracelet
Unusual, satirical and questioning, Momus represents the best in human endeavor. With an air of calm that only vintage styling can express, Momus is distinctly different. Select a bell or a tower – a joyful sound or a place of safety – as your central image. An heirloom in waiting.

Momus is a beauty! I love its central blue bead with its raised white dots.  I got the one with the bell charm on it, and it does give me a sense of a joyful sound.

Pontus
Pontus Charm Bracelet
Maybe you love the sea because you remember falling asleep to its sound. Or perhaps you live far from it, but long for it fifty weeks of the year. Pontus offers you oceanic blues and the calmest of sea creatures, just dangling from your wrist, waiting to be played with in a stolen moment.

My favorite of the three, the blues of this bracelet calm me.  I can gaze into their depths and lose myself to images of the sea.

All three of these bracelets are European Charm Bracelets with a 18cm snake chain (which is a little over 7 inches).  The large beads make the bracelets heavy and feel expensive on the wrist.  I love the look and the feel of them when I wear them.  I have already had strangers ask me about the bracelets.  That makes me feel more special that I am wearing something that people really admire.

Thanks to Cutey, one person is going to win their choice of charm bracelet from their lovely collection.
This giveaway is open Worldwide!

Today's Theme: The choices J & C

I haven't been to well this last week.  I really messed my neck up royally (pun intended), so I had two of my biggest fan club members choose a song each for today.

First, let's have J's choice for today, since she is the oldest of the two.

Once Upon a December from Anastasia

The next song was picked by C.

The General Lee sung by Johnny Cash

Serene Sunday - How Great Thou Art

It's hard to believe that this is the last Sunday of April.  How time flies.

How Great Thou Art

How Great Thou Art" is a Christian hymn based on a Swedish poem written by Carl Gustav Boberg (1859-1940) in Sweden in 1885. The melody is a Swedish folk song. It was translated into English by British missionary Stuart K. Hine, who also added two original verses of his own composition.

The inspiration for the poem came when Boberg was walking home from church near Kronobäck, Sweden, and listening to church bells. A sudden awe-inspiring storm gripped Bobergs attention, and then just as suddenly as it had made its violent entrance, it subsided to a peaceful calm which Boberg observed over Mönsterås Bay. According to J. Irving Erickson: Carl Boberg and some friends were returning home to Mönsterås from Kronobäck, where they had participated in an afternoon service. Nature was at its peak that radiant afternoon. Presently a thundercloud appeared on the horizon, and soon sharp lightning flashed across the sky. Strong winds swept over the meadows and billowing fields of grain. The thunder pealed in loud claps. Then rain came in cool fresh showers. In a little while the storm was over, and a rainbow appeared. When Boberg arrived home, he opened the window and saw the bay of Mönsterås like a mirror before him From the woods on the other side of the bay, he heard the song of a thrush. The church bells were tolling in the quiet evening.

It was this series of sights, sounds, and experiences that inspired the writing of the song. The poem is a paraphrase of Psalm 8.

Stuart K. Hines was a British Methodist minister who was born in London, England in 1899. In 1931, he heard the Russian transltion of the song and began using it in his evangelistic services. Eventually, he began re-writing the song and added his own verses. The most widely known verses are these:

O Lord my God!
When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the works
Thy hands have made.
I see the stars,
I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee;
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee:
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

Have a wonderful day!

Theatrical Thursday - New Brave Trailer

New trailer released for Brave.  Brave is opening in Theaters on June 22.

I was a little disappointed with this trailer after seeing the part with the old man mooning his backside to others by lifting up his kilt. I really don't care for this type of crude humor, especially in a children's movie.  Disney will not be getting our money with this movie.  I know many of you see nothing wrong in this, but a little here and a little there starts degrading our culture.

REVIEW—Butt Bench | Style and Elegance—Storage and Security

I love to take a long and relaxing shower.  I like to get my shower nice and hot and steamy with all my shower goodies with me.  I have my scrub brush for my back, my loufah for the rest of me, an extra sponge, shampoo, conditioner, a razor, shaving cream, soap...just so many articles.  I usually have to leave them on the little cupoard next to me.  That is such a hassle.  I want them in the shower with me.  Opening up the shower curtain gets water all over the place, too.  I am not a happy camper when it comes to that.  Then there are times, I would just love to sit, and enjoy the steaminess of the shower like it is a bit of a sauna.  The edge of the bathtub is no place to sit.  Our cast iron tub is cold, and just plain uncomfortable.  Sit in the tub?  I am taking a shower, not a bath.  Just doesn't feel right.

Well, I have found something that takes care of the situation for me; The Butt Bench, The All-In-One Bathtub Seat

"Butt Bench® is a sturdy, high-quality patent-pending bathtub seat made of natural wood. This tub seat supports your weight – use it to make shaving easier, or sit down, relax, and turn your shower into a sauna. Butt Bench is also a great bathtub storage ledge!"

I feel like I am showering in style now.  It fits so perfect across our tub.  Check out the picture.  It adds elegance to our bathroom.  It is not some sterile plastic seat that looks like it belongs in some hospital, but beautiful and fashionable wood.  Butt Bench kindly sent me the cedar bench to do a review with.  The natural cedar color is highlighted in our pink bathroom.  It looks beautiful.  Then the functionality of it all!  Not only can I put all my little accessories in there, but my girls love it.

My three daughters have even more showering accessories than I do.  They can put everything in there that they need.  At first when I told them that I would be doing a review for the Butt Bench they thought I was bringing in a utility seat for an older person, and was a little resentful about it.  But once they started using it, they quickly changed their minds.  They find that they can shave their legs so much more easily, and have room for all the little things they want in the shower with them.

I did have my mother and grandmother come over and try it out.  I let them hold it, so they can see how light weight the seat is, and how perfect it would be for an older person to use it.  They were very impressed with the sturdiness of the seat.  My mother emphasized that she felt very secure on the seat.  They loved that it was so easy to install requiring no special tools.  Just set it on the tub, and make sure that the suction cups in the back were securely pressed on to the back tile.  It is so easy for anyone to install.

This is just truly something that would be a great asset for anyone to have in their home.  Great for families with children because it makes a perfect shelf to hold toys.  Terrific for women, be it that you just want more comfort, or you are pregnant. (Oh gosh! What a great comfort safety seat for that occasion! Wish I had one when I was expecting.)  Fantastic for the elderly who need safety and security in the bath, but don’t want to sacrifice style and elegance in their bathroom.

The Butt Bench will fit any standard tub that is 30" wide, and has sides that are at least an inch wide.  Unfortunately, it will not fit on one piece fiberglass tubs and bath tubs that have glass siding doors.  It can hold a person up to 300 lbs.  You can get two different sizes for your comfort: 12" or 15". It comes in either pine (natural, white, or pink) and cedar, but both are sealed with a water-proof finish.  The prices for the Butt Bench start at only $43.95.

Here's where you can find all the information that you need for the Butt Bench, their website, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
