I will be away for a few days

Hi Everyone!

Yesterday, we had a very explosive electrical storm.  It not only fried our wireless internet station, but it fried our surged protectors, and then the computer.  I was not home at the time, so damaged happened.  I will be away from my post until I get the computer fixed.  I will try to get up and running as soon as I can.

Introducing Emilie M. - Stylish Handbag Review

Nicole Chain Tote Bag
Nicole Crocodile Handbag
Do you love cute handbags as much as I do?  Then I have a new place for you to buy a beautiful inexpensive bag online: Emilie M. Shop.   I was sent this lovely Nicole Chain Tote Bag in Crocodile Brown EMM10001 to review.  It has quickly become my favorite bag to take along with me.

This is a super bag that I can take anywhere.  The beautiful crocodile brown looks so nice with jeans, going around town doing my regular shopping.  If we want to go out to eat, it blends perfectly well with a dress and high heels.  The handles are a perfect length, and they stay put on my shoulder.  I love the luxe chain on the soft handles on this shoulder bag.  It easily gets the handles out of the way for when I want to get into my purse.  The interior of the purse is lined in a cheery striped satin lining that looks and feel luxurious.   It has three compartments on the inside, one zippered between the other two.  It has two cell phone pockets, and another small zippered compartment stashed on the back inside.  There is plenty of room for my large wallet, and even bigger coupon keeper.  This purse is fully functional.

The Nicole Double Shoulder Bag EMM10001 retails for only $70.  It comes in a variety of rich colors to match any wardrobe in either either leopard print, luxe croco or soft saffiano.   Nicole M. has such a wide variety of inexpensive, but oh so stylish, handbags available with prices ranging between $50 to $80.

Visit Emilie M. to view their whole line of cute handbags.  You can also find them on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.

Silly Saturday: Hello? Is Anyone Home? August 25, 2012

Ho Hum, it's Saturday again.  Last week was just too hot and humid to go out looking for jokes.  The heat was just getting me sick.  The humidity has lowered and the evaporative coolers are working better once more, and I feel much better after being sick from bronchitis!

Anyone Home?

*~¤§¤~*
This was at the Ford dealership in Canton, MS:
When my wife and I arrived at an automobile dealership to pick up our car, we were told the keys had been locked in it. We went to the service department and found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the driver side door. As I watched from the passenger side, I instinctively tried the door handle and discovered that it was unlocked. 'Hey,' I announced to the technician, 'it's open!' His reply: 'I know. I already got that side.'

*~¤§¤~*

We had to have the garage door repaired.
The Sears repairman told us that one of our problems was that we did not have a 'large' enough motor on the opener.
I thought for a minute, and said that we had the largest one Sears made at that time, a 1/2 horsepower.
He shook his head and said, 'Lady, you need a 1/4 horsepower.' I responded that 1/2 was larger than 1/4.
He said, 'NO, it's not..' Four is larger than two.'

We haven't used Sears repair since.

*~¤§¤~*

My daughter and I went through the McDonald's take-out window and I gave the clerk a $5 bill.
Our total was $4.25, so I also handed her a quarter.
She said, 'you gave me too much money.' I said, 'Yes, I know, but this way you can just give me a dollar bill back.
She sighed and went to get the manager, who asked me to repeat my request.
I did so, and he handed me back the quarter, and said 'We're sorry but we could not do that kind of thing.'
The clerk then proceeded to give me back $1 and 75 cents in change.

Do not confuse the clerks at McD's.

*~¤§¤~*

My daughter went to a local Taco Bell and ordered a taco.
She asked the person behind the counter for 'minimal lettuce.'
He said he was sorry, but they only had ice-burg lettuce.
-- From Kansas City

*~¤§¤~*

I live in a semi rural area.
We recently had a new neighbor call the local township administrative office
To request the removal of the DEER CROSSING sign on our road.
The reason: 'Too many deer are being hit by cars out here!
I don't think this is a good place for them to be crossing anymore.'
--From Kingman, KS

 *~¤§¤~*

I was at the airport, checking in at the gate when an airport employee asked,
'Has anyone put anything in your baggage without your knowledge?'
To which I replied, 'If it was without my knowledge, how would I know?'
He smiled knowingly and nodded, 'That's why we ask.'
Happened in Birmingham , Ala.

*~¤§¤~*

The stoplight on the corner buzzes when it's safe to cross the street.
I was crossing with an intellectually challenged coworker of mine. She asked if I knew what the buzzer was for.
I explained that it signals blind people when the light is red.
Appalled, she responded, 'What on earth are blind people doing driving?!'
She was a probation officer in Wichita , KS

*~¤§¤~*

I feel like a VALEDICTORIAN !!!!!
I handed the teller @ my bank a withdrawal slip for $400.00
I said "May I have large bills, please"

She looked at me and said "I'm sorry sir, all the bills are the same size."
When I got up off the floor I explained it to her....

I work with an individual who plugged her power strip back into itself
And for the sake of her life, couldn't understand why her system would not turn on.

VOLUME Volumizing Shampoo from Shielo - Review

Have I got a shampoo for you to try--Volume Volumizing Shampoo from Shielo.  I have been using it for three weeks now, and am so happy with how full my long hair is now.

I have always wanted to grow my hair long, but before my hysterectomy, my hair was just too brittle to.  Now that my hormones have straightened themselves out, I have been able to grow my hair long.  It is halfway down my back now, but it's so heavy that it just lays there.  I want it to be full and lush like my daughters' hair.  All three of them have too much fullness--lucky them!

When I found out that I would have a chance to try Shielo's Volume Volumizing Shampoo, I jumped at the chance.  My daughters all like to have the smooth and sleek shampoos, and I just go along with them.  It didn't make a difference to me.  Now it does.  Shielo's Volume Volumizing Shampoo has made my hair go from smooth and sleek to full and beautiful.

This modern volumizing shampoo is designed to remove residue and product styling build-up, without stripping hair or fading color to provide an optimum environment for thicker hair. Fights free radicals that damage and weaken hair. The results are thicker, healthier, more beautiful hair. From Shielo.

What else makes the Volume Volumizing Shampoo so great?  It's key ingredient is Biotin and amino acids to give your hair strength.  Then there are nanofilaments which are designed to penetrate deep into the hair shaft to increase thickness from the root.  Along with that is Soy Protein that provides structure for thin or weak hair.  Hyaluronic acid strengthens, conditions and replenishes hair providing flexibility and shine.  Then to nourish the scalp and hair follicle are Japanese herbs.  This herbal complex will help the hair bulb increase its size to help reduce hair loss.

It is so nice having the hubby looking at me, and complimenting how nice my hair is looking now.  Now that really makes me feel good.  I have noticed that my hair is stronger, it does not break off hardly at all when I comb it out.  It really is nice to have my hair so full with a shine that it makes me feel like a million bucks!

Here where you can get your own bottle of  Volume Volumizing Shampoo from Shielo.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Marvelous Music Monday - Marvin Hamlisch

Today's Marvelous Music Monday is dedicated to the memory of Marvin Hamlisch

The musical world has lost a great composer this month, Marvin Hamlisch.  I have loved many of his works.  He was one of of only eleven EGOTs.  What is an EGOT?  It is someone who has won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award, plus a Pulitzer Prize winner, too.  What an accomplishment!  Part of Hamlisch's repertoire are The Way We Were, the Bond movie theme The Spy Who Loved Me, Ice Castles, A Chorus Line, Three Men and a Baby, just to name a few.   Yesterday, I featured on my Serene Sunday post, a beautiful instrumental version of "What I Did for Love," from A Chorus Line.  His last score was The Informant!, which starred Matt Damon in 2009.

"Nobody Does It Better"
From The Spy Who Loved Me
Performed by Carly Simon

From Ordinary People
An arrangement of Pachelbel's Canon in D by Marvin Hamlisch

"Looking Through the Eyes of Love"
performed by Melissa Manchester
from the movie, Ice Castles

Another of Marvin Hamlisch's arrangements, that he won a Academy Award for
"The Entertainer" from The Sting

What was your favorite from Marvin Hamlisch?
