Epiphany, the day the Three Kings found the Baby Jesus and presented his Mother with the three gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

The meaning of the three gifts of the Magi
Gold--the gift given to
royalty and so it represents the fact of Jesus as King in the line of
David and King of the world and our hearts.
Frankincense--represents the fact of Jesus' Divinity, since incense was and is used primarily in the worship of God.
Myrrh--looks ahead to the death of Jesus, as myrrh was used for the anointing of the bodies of the dead.

ReplyDeleteTotally fabulous. My mom use to keep her tree up until after the celebration of the "Three Kings". Love what they did to the song. It's so updated & I'm sure will bring the younger set to listen too! Thanks for sharing.
