Wordless Wednesday with Linky - Joshua Tree Blossoms - March 20, 2013

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

We've had some very picturesque things happening this last week.  Spring has truly sprung in the high desert.  We did not have a lot of rain this year, but apparently it was perfect for the Joshua trees.  They are blooming like crazy all over the place.

Here is an antelope squirrel perched on top of one eating the blossoms.  Just saw one yesterday eating bird seed that looked like she was lactating.  I see babies on the horizon for us.  They are so much fun to watch as they play.

Today is windy, and it looks like it will only get into the 70s.  Last week, we were in the 80s.  I am really missing the cold weather.  Our winter was too short this year.

  18. I just spent 10 minutes reading about Antelope Squirrels since my husband was arguing that photo was of a chipmunk. How fun!

    1. I always thought of them as chipmunks when we first moved out here, but they are just silly little ground squirrels.

    1. We had just way too much wind today, and that swirls up all the pollen. Sinus problems, Ugh!
