I have always loved to create a beautiful warm setting in my home at night with candles. The flickering little flames would make the room seem more magical and more romantic. When I became a mother for the first time, the candles just had to go. Little flickering flames, hot wax, and children just do not mix well. Either you are going to end up with scorched fingers or something much worse. For years I went without candles. Only for Christmas would I bring out some tapers to light for our dinner.
After all of those years, a new invention occurred to make our ho-hum dreary homes in the evening more ambient again: Flameless Candles. Yet, the flameless candles that I was getting were blah compared to the designs that I found on regular candles until I found Brite Ideas.
Brite Ideas. Each of their flameless candles have hand-painted designs. These designs are transferred by hand in a multi-step process, giving each piece a special uniqueness and giving us a small work of art that brightens our evenings.
I received the Sunflower Candle from Brite Ideas to review. This design is a lovely celebration of spring. It has a bee buzzing from the fence filled with sunflowers finding its way to the vase bursting full of the bright yellow blooms. It has a five hour timer that lets you set it for what time you would like to have it go on and automatically shuts off exactly five hours later. I set mine to go on at 4pm and it goes off at ten. I never have to worry about an open flame or hot wax with the two LED flickering lights nor worry that I forgot to blow it out.
There are eleven different designs to choose from. Each of these candles are made from real wax with the five hour timer. These candles come with batteries so you can light them up immediately. These flameless candles are great to bring a little warmth into your rooms or for a sweet night light to brighten up a dark bedroom or bathroom.
On their Facebook page, I found their new design ideas for 2014. They are adorable!
