Dermagist Clarifying System for Acne Prone Skin - Review & Giveaway - Ends 6/18 US

I received the Clarifying System for Acne Prone Skin for this review from

My budding astro-physicist daughter, who will be heading off to the University of Oklahoma to start grad school in September, has a terrible acne problem.  My husband and I believe it is from all the stress that she has been under during her time as an undergrad.  She worked tirelessly to get good grades, and she sorta let her face suffer as a result.

I was pleased to all ends when Dermagist contacted me to do a review of their products.  I was familiar with their product line, and was impressed by what I saw.  Dermagist very kindly sent us the Clarifying System for Acne Prone Skin.  This  two-step system was designed to soothe and diminish the look of blemishes and the redness.

What is so different from Dermagist's Clarigying System for Acne-Prone Skin to what you fine in stores?  NO Benzoyl Peroxide!  Benzoyl peroxide irritated the heck out of my face when I was a teen, and my kids are no different.  This was one of the reasons that my daughter agreed to try Dermagist's Acne Clarifying System.

When I told my daughter about the other ingredients, she was full of hope for her skin.  The Clarifying system for Acne Prone Skin is filled with ingredients that I have heard only good things about: Resveratrol, Glycolic Acid, Niacinamide, Aloe, and Chamomile.  Resveratrol is reportedly very effective at fighting acne, and is has anti-aging and soothing properties to help skin look young and smooth.

The first step of this system is the Detoxifying Cleanser with Resveratrol.  Besides the powerhouse Resveratrol for an ingredient, is also has Chamomile which soothes the skin, Shea Butter to protect the skin, Aloe Vera to moisturize, and Tangerine Oil to help the skin absorb nutrients and keep the skin from getting too dry or too oily.

The second step is the Clarifying Cream for Acne-Prone Skin.  This also contains the skin benefits of Resveratrol, Aloe, Chamomile, and Shea Butter, and also has a few extras to help keep those breakouts at a minimum: Vitamin C; Niacinamide; and Provitamin B5.  This product's objective is to get rid of the dirt and oil that is associated with blemishes.  It will also calm and soothe the skin.

My daughter has been using this 2-Step Treatment for about a month now.  There is a slight improvement, but not as much as I was hoping for.  Her case of acne is quite severe, and I love that I do see improvement.  Nothing so far has even done anything to improve her acne but this system from Dermagist.  She does plan on getting her face lasered after she earns her doctorate in physics.

Does your teen suffer from acne-prone skin?  Most teens don't have such a scenario as my daughter's, and would very likely get much better results from Dermagist's Clarifying System for Acne-Prone Skin.   Find out more about this Acne Clarifying System.
