Pumpkin Masters and Pumpkin Hunting - Review and Flash Giveaway - ends 10/26

I received products from Pumpkin Masters for this review in exchange for my honest opinion.

How many of you are going out to pick your pumpkins for Halloween or have already done so?  That's where we were yesterday -- PUMPKIN HUNTING!

Usually we go down to the supermarket to pick out our pumpkins, but this year we had a treat.  I was contacted by Pumpkin Masters to do a review of their several of their kits and lights, so we made a special trip to find some perfect pumpkins.  After our trip of almost an hour and a half, we reached our destination.  What a bountiful supply of pumpkins!

It was a long search in 80+ degree weather (that's the desert for you), but we found all the pumpkins that we found pleasing to us.  We even got one sweet pumpkin to bake with.

This Sunday will be our carving day!  We are all excited at the prospect of carving with our Pumpkin Master Kits.  I got the following kits and lights to review from Pumpkin Masters: Pumpkin Carving Kit, Kid's Carving Kit, Surface Carving Kit, Decorative Patches Pumpkin Tool Kit, and their two Xtreme Strobe Flashing LED Lights - clear and multi-colored.

I have always been wary of using knives when carving our pumpkins.  My husband used to be a chef and demands that the knives be kept very sharp.  We did not let any of our kids carve pumpkins until they were almost teens for fear of them creating a real Halloween horror story.  It's so nice to know that even younger children as young as 3 can carve their own pumpkin with Pumpkin Masters Kids.

Now it was time to get to carving.  You get everything you need to clean and carve your pumpkin using a kit from Pumpkin Masters.  All the instructions needed to carve a great looking pumpkin are right on the back of the package.  I basically followed to the letter but because we keep the pumpkins indoors (we don't have any neighbors within a 1/4 mile of us to show our pumpkins off to out here in our lonely desert), I cut a hole in the top rather than the bottom as recommended.  It's what we always do.

With the Pumpkin Masters Scraper Scoop, I got the pumpkin nice and clean on the inside.  It was then time to choose one of the patterns that came with my kits.  I chose something easy for myself: Cycloptic.  All attached with tape and folded in the right places to fit my pumpkin.

It was then time to get the design traced onto the pumpkin.  I traced and punched the pattern out with the tools provided.  It came out that I had a dot-to-dot pattern on my pumpkin that made it a breeze to cut out with the special carving tools provided as per the instructions.

I think my pumpkin turned out perfect.  With the tools and the easy instructions from Pumpkin Masters, I carved a very masterful pumpkin!  To light it up, I used the white strobe light included in my pack.  I added the Xtreme Strobe Clear Flashing LED Light.  Spooky!

Would you like to have a masterful and spooky Halloween pumpkin that would be the best on your street?  You can with Pumpkin Masters!  You can find their product line at stores nationwide including Target, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS and your local craft and grocery store.  I found Pumpkin Masters sold right at the pumpkin patch that I visited.
