Get Your Home Office Files Ready For Next Year for Less at - Review

I received one or more of the products or services mentioned below for free in the hopes that I would mention it on my blog. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. All opinions are 100% my own.  I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.

My husband is a general contractor/remodeler here in California.  While he takes care of the hands-on work, I take care of the accounts.  I am not professional, but I find that my methods work for me.  I have kept the save file folders now for...well, I guess of over 20 years now.  I just pack away last year's receipts and such up in our container after I do our taxes each year.  I think my tax file box is a bit outdated.

It is very old, and the old hanging folders are just literally falling apart.  In fact, from the first year that I used these file folders, they have been needing a little glue to keep them together.  I have needed some new office supplies for a few years now.  I feel extremely fortunate that I have teamed up with to review some Smead folders.  I was sent three different types of folders to review: the Smead Super Tab Heavy Weight Folder, a Smead Easy Grip Pocket Folder, and a box of the Smead FasTab Hanging File Folders. These folders really have updated my business filing system.

I am truly a hanging file folder person, but just love to add some regular file folders inside my hanging files to create a few sub-folders.  The Smead SuperTab Heavy Weight Folders fit perfectly to create just what I desire.  They are a nice heavyweight manila folder that does not feel that it will deteriorate in the near future.  These are built to last.  Another feature that I like is that I am no longer limited to just a few words to write on the tabs.  These folders give me 90% more room to write what I need, and I can find the information much quicker.

Do you need a pocket folder that can hold a lot of weight and can expand because you have a lot of bulky files?  I never realized that I how much I could use an expanding pocket folder.  Each year the bank statement folder gets quite heavy and bulky, and when I lift out that folder, usually it all falls out.  What a pain, right?  I received just one of these Smead Easy Grip Pockets for my review, and have discovered how useful a folder like this is!  It is uniquely different for at the top where you grab it there are lines of SmeadGrip Technology Non-Slip Grip.  I threw all of our heavy bank statements into this folder and was able to pick this up and carry it around.  No need to fear that I was going have all those statements all strewn all over the floor.  This folder has a capability of expanding to 5 1/4" and is virtually tear proof with its Tyvek reinforced construction.

I have already shared with you that I love hanging file folders.  (I never liked how regular folders would just settle and slump into the bottom of my file box.)  These new Smead FasTab Hanging File Folders unquestionably updated my file box for next year.  What I like about them is that there is no more stupid little tabs that you have to try to insert into the folders.  Those idiotic plastic tabs would always slip out of the folders when I am trying to go through the files.  These nice heavy weight folders have built-in heavy-duty tabs for quick and easy labeling.  The tabs will never come off as I am going through the files.  Also, they are put together with reinforced construction - I know I won't ever have to glue these.  They do come with 16 self-adhesive labels that you can print to personalize to you needs, but 16 is not enough for the full box of the twenty file folders.  I do wish it came with an extra sheet of labels.

Here is my next year's file box all ready to go thanks to  As you can see I used the free downloadable software from Smead to print up my personalized labels.  I did write one in, and since I can see it quite well.  (Nice reminder, huh?)

Do you need something for your business?  Perhaps you want to advertise your business with some promotional items?  One great promotional item would be some promotional shirts - something I have always wanted for my husband's business.  Are you in the UK and would like to get in on Office and Stationary products for less? Then go to Shoplet UK.  What is your one-place destination for office supplies for a great deal -!
