Marvelous Music Monday - Theme of a Time Lord - December 30, 2013

This week's theme for the Monday Music Moves Me hop is your favorites from 2013 or songs about 'time' or if you really prefer, songs about "New Year's."  My preferences went towards time - a Time Lord, that is!

This year was the last year that Matt Smith will be "The Doctor"
So, in tribute to this Time Lord,
Here's the 11th Doctor's Theme

Join in on the fun!

  1. Trying to leave a comment here and having a problem let's see if this one works. Happy, healthy and prosperous New Year to you and yours. Unique choice here I'd say. Thanks for playing along with us. Hubby is trying his hand at blogging MOODYmedia on the linky. Stop by there and here his choice and a link to a song he wrote this year. Please follow him is you will THANKS. Just something to do for him while being laid off and looking for work. Keeps him from going bonkers. He loves to share his music too. Have a great day. YOU ROCK!

  2. Perfect choice! This makes me happy and sad at the same time. Check out my hubby's blog today too. He is similar in thought. :)
    Happy New Year!

PS. For the record, I cried at the ending episode. Yes, I am a fan!

    1. Matt Smith really seemed a bit weird at first -for us, that is- but we grew to really like him as The Doctor. Did you hear that his mother was part of the crowd that didn't want him to leave the part?

  3. I think I'm the only one who is left out of this Doctor Who business, but if he is leaving, then so many are going to be sad.

Thanks for sharing and also for supporting us for such a long time. We do appreciate you.

    Happy new Year! :)

    1. It took us a little while to get used to Matt Smith as The Doctor, but he really grew into the part. Now that we are so very used to him, we will miss him. Even his mother got a little tiffed with him! Ha! I am quite sure that we will all get used to the new Doctor. He really looks the part.

  5. What was funny, both Matt Smith and David Tennant both payed homage to TOM BAKER's Doctor. Matt Smith, the more off the cuff, kind of crazy aloof slightly out there aspect Baker had, and Tennant the more intense serious and sometimes near mad aspect of Baker. So both were reflections of perhaps one of the most beloved Doctors of the series, and the fact that Baker appeared in Day of the Doctor tied in nicely. Have a Who filled new year. And if a Blue Police Call box materializes in your flat, send it our way, me wife and I would love traveling with the Docror.

  6. Doctor Who is a series I haven't looked at. It's rather popular for sure. I may have to check into it just to see what I'm missing or not. Anyhow, I hope you have a lovely 2014 blessings filled year from above. Thanks for playing along with the 4M crew and I'll be seeing you on the dance floor in the New Year, my friend!

  7. I watched on and off over the years, not getting too much into it until the last two years. Now I am curious if I will be into it as much with a new Doctor. Change is sometimes very good.
    Happy New Year!

  8. I Love Doctor Who - and I cry every time there's a "goodbye" episode.
I sobbed like a baby when "The Ponds" said goodbye at the end of their time with the Doctor.
OH, and the "Rose" one where she goes to the other universe? Sobbed. Badly. (And I'm not normally an overly emotional person!)
