Marvelous Music Monday - Flying Dreams - March 31, 2014

I just love music!  Did you know that it was scientifically proven that music will help you pass the time away quicker.  So if you are stuck waiting somewhere, like in the waiting room of a dentist office or somewhere that time just seems to stand still, get out your music player and the time will pass quicker than you realize.

The Monday's Music Moves Me Hop is a fun musical adventure.  Every Monday we get together and share music.  This week's theme for the music hop is "Songs that Inspire us."  Here are some that have inspired me over the years.
It's fun to join in!

This week's theme is a Freebie, so go ahead and choose your favorite tunes from YouTube or any other place you can share the music on your blog.

Xmas Dolly is the Conductor on this Musical trip.  Co-conductors are Callie of JAmerican Spice, Stacy of Stacy Uncorked, Cathy of  Curious as a CAThy, Naila Moon of Just the Stuff You Know.

Let's get the show on the road!

I love animated movies.  When Don Bluth broke off from Disney (he was one of the main creators of Pete's Dragon) and started his own animation company, we were excited.  We were really hoping for a new animation company to rival Disney and bring us some great new animated movies.  Don Bluth's cartoons were never really what we were hoping for, but we did get some great music from his productions.

The Secret of NIMH was one of his first productions.  It is really a nice cartoon, but there are so many unanswered questions relating to how and where the magic in the movie came about.  The book it is from, "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH" is much better than the movie, but has a more sadder ending in my opinion.

Flying Dreams
from The Secret of NIMH
written and performed by Paul Williams

This one is fun and short

The Owls' Picnic
from Rock-A-Doodle
Just watch about the first minute of this one.  I really had to search to find this song with the video.
