Wordless Wednesday with Linky - Helicopter Training - March 19, 2014

I live near the border of the 29 Palms Marine Base.  It is one of the bases that they train helicopter pilots.  They like the semi-circle of the rocky mountain around us to train by.  I guess it reminds them of some rocky mountains way way back East.  We love to see them come flying by.

Pictures were taken with my Nikon D40.

    1. We just had another fly over us just a little while ago. I love hearing the sounds of our military practicing to protect us. The bombing is always fantastic!

    1. No, it's never too much. When they do come around, it's only for a short period. They do not start too early in the morning, and they don't come around anymore when evening sets in.

  20. First up, I just realized your WW button is not on my WW page. Can you be a peach and resend this to me. I don't know, if it got lost in the transfer or I simply forgot to add it. *slap forehead* Wow, what a beautiful blue sky with those whirly birds flying over head! Now, that must be really fun to capture, eh? Have a happy, happy WW!

  23. Awesome photos, when I lived on the west coast of Canada we used to see the planes practice taking off and landing on the ships, as well as all the hover crafts and helicopters going up and down the channel.
