$100 Outback Steakhouse GC & Carole P. Roman's Newest Book: If You Were Me and Lived In Australia - Giveaway - ends 4/20 US

I’ve joined some of my favorite bloggers and Away We Go Media for a very special giveaway. One of our lucky readers will win a children's book AND a $100 Outback Steakhouse gift card!

Have you ever wanted to visit Australia? The idea of visiting the "Land Down Under" has always held a fascination with me. Part of my children's early social studies books had a whole chapter devoted to the Australian Outback. I know that was not much, but I have always wanted to know more. Read on to learn how you and your child could learn more about Australia!

G'Day, welcome to Oz! The roos are hoppin' and the koalas are waiting for some bamboo shoots.  Everything is lively Down Under.

Carole P. Roman is introducing her newest book in the series
If You Were Me and Lived in Australia

Among the topics that are introduced in this journey to Australia are the unusual indigenous animals, the extraordinary Great Barrier Reef, the currency, the beloved game of cricket and the national holiday, Australia Day, as well as the special nicknames people have for one another and the curious taste sensation, Vegemite.

Because she is happy for your child to read this newest book in her series, she is giving away one paperback copy to one lucky reader.

What would make it even better? How about steak on the barbie or better yet...a $100 Outback Steakhouse Gift Card!

I'm stoked! How about you? Enter in the Rafflecopter Below!

Let's give a big "Ta" and "Cheers" to Carole for sponsoring this giveaway of her latest book, If You Were Me and Lived in Australia and a $100 GC to Outback Steakhouse. Just think of the juicy steaks! This giveaway is open to US residents only, and will end on April 20th, 2014, 12am MST. The last day to enter is on April 19th.

It is Mandatory that you enter your full mailing address in the correct entry on the Rafflecopter. If your full mailing address is not given, you will be ineligible to win. *Address will only be used for the purpose of mailing the prize - It will not be sold.  This giveaway is in no way affiliated with Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or any other social media outlet.

  10. I am VERY fortunate: Both as a child and a former travel agent (in another life) I have traveled very extensively (though there are still many place I would love to see - some that were off limits back then: South Africa, Vietnam and Thailand, SOME parts of "Eastern Europe" and Central America.

That said ~ "if money were no object" I would like to take my Honey/Hubby to some of my favorite haunts all across Europe. The only European country he's been to is Sweden - when my family had a family "reunion" sort of trip to Sweden (both my Mom and my Honey's Mom's sides of the family are from Sweden.)

I'd like to take him to Scotland (his Dad's side of his family) and England (I went to and lived in Oxford for a year) and then travel extensively (by train and rental car) spending especially A LOT of time in France (where I also lived for awhile) and then Italy and Greece. And back up all the way through Scandinavia out to Bergen Norway.

Because my Honey/Hubby LOVES water sports, what vacations we have been able to afford (outside of the States visiting family/friends) are always to Mexico (where I've also spent a lot of time) and various Caribbean Islands where he / we can scuba dive, sail and windsurf.

Danielle! Now you've got me daydreaming ~ and I'm leaving tomorrow to visit my 91 year old Mom and my sister/her family & dogs in Bozeman and in Livingston, Montana. Honey/Hubby is stuck here in miserable Chicagoland working hard and getting ready for his second total hip replacement surgery at the end of the month. Thanks for the nice daydreamed detour - gives me something to fantasize about during the long flights and layovers in Denver!

It's a day I knew was coming, however, it hurts so bad, no one tells you that when you're a new mom. I'll be fine.
