  3. We don't have a ton of family heirlooms - mostly just some knick-knacks. One thing that isn't necessarily an "heirloom" but that I cherish from the past is my grandfather's Red Sox baseball cap. It was his favorite hat, and it reminds me of watching Red Sox games with him when I was a kid.

  4. I wish I had some family heirlooms. I'm afraid my extended family is not very close and I don't believe they had much to pass on. Maybe I can start a tradition!

  5. My prized family heirlooms are some books my mother read in her childhood, and a quilt that my grandmother made for me. Also, my hope chest that my dad made by hand, which will go on to my daughter.

  7. There aren't many family heirlooms. I do have a diamond that belonged to my grandmother and I think her mother before that.

  13. I have my moms wedding dishes that I will pass down to my oldest. I want to leave everyone a piece of jewelry too but I have to even it out.

  16. I have many family heirlooms that I cherish including afghans and quilts made by my great-grandma, dishes passed down through several generations, and a cookbook given to my by my grandma who had it given to her by her mother.

  17. I am fortunate enough to have quite a few from my husband's side but only a few from mine. I treasure them all - even a cheap chipped bowl that was my grandmother's.
