#ReinventingWellness with Smith Bros #BringBackTheBeards - Helping Us Keep Healthy Since 1847 - Review

I received the following products from Smith Bros. for free in hopes that I would mention them on my blog.  No other form of compensation was received.  All opinions are 100% my own.

There is one old family remedy that was passed down to us from my grandmother and perhaps her grandmother - pectin.  When we feel under the weather, we mix some pectin in with fruit juice or just plain water, and drink it down.  What my grandmother said was that the pectin would help restore our health and our energy so that we will feel better faster.  Now I can't say that this is true, but it does seem to help.  Now pectin straight from the box is not the best tasting.  That's why we would mix it with fruit juice to help improve the sharp sour flavor.

A few weeks ago, I was contacted by Smith Bros. to review a few of their products.  Smith Brothers, Co.  has been making health and wellness products since 1847.  Many of their products have the key ingredient of pectin.  No wonder grandmother expressed the helpfulness of pectin!  She probably remembered Smith Bros.

Smith Bros. Throat Drops contain my grandmother's family remedy of pectin.  Smith Bros does recommend these for sore throats and for hoarseness.   I received the three flavors of Warm Apple Pie Warming Throat Drops, Wild Cherry Throat Drops, and Black Licorice Throat Drops.  All flavors make pectin delicious!  Even though we have had no sore throats or hoarseness since we have had these, they do taste good!

Cold and cough drops are not the only items you'll find from Smith Bros.  You can feel better faster with Restore Electrolyte Drops.   Smith Brothers Restore Electrolyte Drops are specifically formulated to help you feel better faster. Two delicious drops contain the same amount of electrolytes as 8 OZ. of the leading electrolyte beverage.  I received the Restore Electrolyte Drops wild berry flavor that contain 40mg of caffeine.  While these would help you feel better quicker with all those wonderful electrolytes, but will help get your mind active with the aid of a little caffeine.   If you wish not to have the caffeine, they do have a tangy orange Restore Electrolyte Drops with no caffeine.

Now we come to the prevent the cold tablets from Smith Bros.  The Daily-C Chewable Tablets pack a whopping 250mg of vitamin C - as much as what you would get from four oranges.  These taste really good, and we enjoyed by all the family.  Another immune system builder is zinc.  Smith Bros sent me these delicious strawberry flavored Zinc Boost Chewable Tablets.  Each tablet give you 5mg of zinc and helps to support your immune system.  Zinc makes it harder for the cold virus to take hold.

It’s easy to get us confused with other cough drop brands, but that’s the curse of being the original – you’re often imitated. To help avoid confusion the Smith Brothers, Andrew and William, slapped their faces on the label and trademarked the logo. That inadvertently gave them new nicknames, as “Trade” was positioned under Andrew’s face and “Mark” was under William’s. From then on, the American public knew them as Trade and Mark, the Smith Brothers.

The Smith Brothers started making great-tasting cough drops in Poughkeepsie, NY 160 years ago, and have been providing great-tasting cough and cold relief ever since.  From cough drops to Daily C, they bring you some of the best-loved and most trusted cough, cold and allergy remedies in the world. Learn more about The Smith Brother history.

Even though The Smith Bros. have been making wonderful health and wellness products since 1847, they have kept up with the times.  You can follow with them on Facebook and Twitter.

It's time to get reacquainted with Smith Brothers throat drops and health and wellness products.  Find Smith Bros wherever health and wellness products are sold.
