Eco at Heart Stainless Steel Drinking Straws - Review & Giveaway - ends 10/5 US

The stainless steel drinking straws were provided to me from Eco at Heart in order for me to facilitate an honest review. No other form of compensation was exchanged. Regardless, all thoughts are my own honest opinions!

Does you family love straws?  We do, but we haven't bought them for quite some time.  I just don't like all that plastic that you just throw away.  My mom rinses hers and uses them over again.  I don't do that.  Just washing them out does not kill the bacteria, and a brush has a tendency to tear a rip in a plastic straw.

It's time to ditch those plastic straws and turn to a more Eco-friendly alternative - stainless steel drinking straws!  I received a set of five stainless steel drinking straws from Eco at Heart.   We are all thrilled with these straws and are using them on a daily basis.

Not only do these straws look great with their shiny mirror finish, but being 3/8" extra wide, these straws are perfect for those super thick smoothies and milkshakes.  Being a straight 8 1/2" long, it's great for tall glasses.

Speaking of glass, I did have a pair of these glass "unbreakable" straws.  The key word here is 'did.'  One broke and one chipped.  Needless to say, they were tossed.  Here's the great wonder of stainless steel drinking straws - they will never break!  Nor will they bend as they are made out of 18/8 stainless steel.

Worried about the effects of plastic on your body and the environment?  The Eco at Heart stainless steel drinking straws are BPA free and FDA certified safe for your family and for the environment.  Store them in the freezer to keep your drinks colder for a longer period.

The Eco at Heart Stainless Steel Drinking Straws are actually quite easy to clean, but it is best to clean them immediately after you use them.  There is a long brush that is included in the 5 straw set that scrubs the inside well.   This is the only con that I can see to using stainless steel straws is that they should be cleaned right away.  If anything dries on the inside, they will need to be soaked and scrubbed until cleaned.  These are dishwasher safe!
