New #ProgressoChili - Bring On the Chili Bar! - #PlatefullCoOp Review

Cooler weather is on it's way.  Even here in the desert, we are having cooler nights.  This is the time of the year to start eating more warming foods.  What better dish to have than hot chili.  It's time once again to set up the chili bar and party!

We are real chili lovers in our family.  We like to make homemade, but it is a bit time consuming.  Chili in a can is okay, but I recently discovered new chili from Progresso.  The same company that makes my favorite soups has come out with their own delicious brand of Progresso Chili in a pouch.  


This homemade quality chili is packed full of quality ingredients.  Just look at the bottom of the pouch.  The see-through packaging which helps to maintain the freshness and flavor, lets you gaze at all the yumminess.  There are two varieties to choose from:


Smokehouse Pork and Beef Chili with Beans: A spin on a homemade classic includes Andouille sausage, beef, and a secret blend of spices, all slow-cooked with tomatoes, onions, green sweet peppers and pinto and red kidney beans (allergy info: does contain soy ingredients).


Southwest Style White Chicken Chili with Beans: A creamy blend of all-white meat chicken, white beans, green sweet peppers, tomatillos and onions (allergy info: does contain milk, wheat, soy, and egg ingredients).

So easy to prepare for lunch, dinner, anytime you want good chili!  Just open the pouch, heat on the stove or in the microwave - it's ready in just 5 1/2 minutes.  New Progresso Chili takes the time out of preparing homemade chili that can take hours.

Take your New Progresso Chili to new levels by adding your own favorite toppings.  We love to have a little chili bar.  Some of our favorite toppings and sides with chili are bacon, tortilla chips, cheese crackers, red or green salsa, rice, corn bread, croutons, crackers, sour cream, variety of cheeses, avocado, pasta, green or red onions, sauteed onions, fresh tomatoes, etc.

  1. It has gotten cold here too and my daughter and I actually had Progresso soup tonight for dinner.

    On chili we love cheese and oyster crackers.
