Pondering a Larger World - Love Finds You In Charm Movie Review

My husband and I have been watching a lot of family friendly romance movies lately.  There is nothing like a simple charming love story that the whole family can watch together.  I was recently sent one to review that captured our hearts - Love Finds You In Charm.  Here is a story where the main character breaks the rules that she was brought up with to finally find herself.

What you'll find in Love Finds You In Charm: Young Emma Miller (Danielle Chuchran) would appear to be the most blessed girl in Indiana: An Amish beauty with a loving family, she teaches school, and a marriage offer from the community’s most eligible young man, Emma’s future seems right on track. but the Amish girl has more on her mind than buggies and bonnets; she yearns for adventure, romance, and wants to see the world.  When given the opportunity to spend the season helping her widowed cousin’s market business in scenic Charm, Ohio, her sister Abby convinces here to go, and Emma realizes that this is her chance to see what else the world has to offer.

As she settles into life on her cousin’s farm, she gets to know Noah (Trevor Donovan) – a striking, well-read, young Amish man who helps work the farm.  She also befriends local librarian, and Englisher named Kelly Bennett (Tiffany Dupont), and despite their differences, the two become fast friends even though her cousin disapproves.  When Emma’s popular homemade goat cheese attracts the attention of a local bed-and-breakfast and a handsome wine-and-cheese blog editor, Andy (Drew Fuller), she finds herself pulled between two worlds and two men. Emma must decide whether to stay amongst the Amish, or leave behind everyone and everything she’s ever known to venture out into the world.

Emma wants something more in life than being the wife to the Amish man who has chosen her to be his wife.  Her family is troubled when she looks longingly up at the planes that fly overhead or find her in the barn reading Jane Austin.  Charm seems like the perfect getaway for Emma to figure out what she wants in life.  In Charm she finds the handsome Noah who helps out at her cousin's farm.  Noah has experienced the same longings as Emma, but chose the Amish life over the world.  The man who is so patient and understanding.  Then there is Kelly, the young woman who has left the city and an abusive boyfriend, and introduces Emma to what life could be like outside of the Amish community.   Then enters Andy into Emma's life.  He's the food blogger who really wants to introduce her to what 'love' is in the outside world.  Noah or Andy? Both handsome and charming, but which life will Emma choose?

Both my husband and I just loved this movie.  It really is one of our favorites as this wasn't the first time we have seen the movie - we also watched it last year.  Love Finds You In Charm has been named the Most Romantic Movie of the Year, and both of us agree and just love the romantic ending in the movie.  I would love to share it with you, but I think you need to see the movie to experience the ending yourself.

There is no charm equal to tenderness of heart. - Jane Austin
